EXECUTIVE BOARD

Renger Idema
Chief Executive Officer

In 2018 Renger Idema was appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Renger joined EWT in 2008 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Board in 2012. He began his career at Ahold (food retail) and has held senior roles in operations and finance at Endemol (media) and Hagemeyer (electro technical wholesale). Renger is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands.

Mark Jonkhof
Chief Technology Officer

Mark Jonkhof joined EWT in 2015 as Chief Technology Officer. He started his career in 1995 at Philips Electronics in the field of industrial automation and manufacturing. In 2004 Mark switched to the Wind Industry and worked 11 years for General Electric. Between 2008 and 2012 Mark held full engineering responsibility for the successful implementation of GE’s Multi Megawatt platform and from 2012 to 2015 he led all Wind Technology Research at GE Global Research in Niskayuna, NY (USA).

Rob van de Veerdonk
Head of Sales & Business Development – Northern Europe

Rob van de Veerdonk is Head of Sales & Business Development Northern Europe. He is responsible for developing business in the entire North Europe region, including direct sales, project development and setting up operations and dealing with different incentives scheme, rules and regulations.

Andrea Bartolini
Head of Sales & Business Development – Southern Europe

Andrea Bartolini is Head of Sales & Business Development Southern Europe. He is responsible for developing business in the entire Southern Europe region, including direct sales, project development and setting up operations and dealing with different incentives scheme, rules and regulations. Since 2016 he has successfully realized projects in Italy and Greece, including EWT’s largest project: a 22-turbine project on 10 Greek Islands for Greece’ largest power generation company PPC Renewables. Prior to EWT, Andrea had various business development roles within the wind energy industry where he developed the Italian Market and he supported the installation of many small and medium wind turbines.

Filippo Solci
Country Manager Italy

Filippo Solci, graduated with a degree in Engineering from the University of Bologna and began his career in dealing with issues of environmental impact of energy infrastructure at CESI in 2001. He joined Edison in 2004 to design and develop wind farms. In 2008 he became responsible of wind farms permitting and development for ERG Group in Italy and later on for all the wind assets owned by ERG as Business Operation Manager.

Filippo has over 18 years of experience in the energy field, Asset Management, Development, Investment Evaluation, Construction, Operation and Maintenance renewable power plants in the Italian market. Management of more than 1 GigaWatt of power Capacity. Supervision of development and asset management teams, from technical-engineering to business evaluation and has a significant track record of developing business.

He joined EWT in 2017 and focused on the development of the startup of the EWT Italian branch. At the moment he is consolidating the work done in the past 1,5 years.

From 2019 Filippo is member of the board of Anie Rinnovabili, national association part of Confindustria.

Brett Pingree
Country Manager – North America

Brett Pingree joined EWT in 2021 as Country Manager of the North American market after successfully developing C&I solar projects in America for the previous four years. Previous to developing PV solar projects,  Brett was Head of Business Development for EWT. Brett began his career in renewables with Northern Power Systems in 2004 and has held various senior roles in Commercial Executive leadership and Business Development at Endurance Windpower, Dynapower, and EWT over the years. Brett has a degree from the University of Vermont as well as advanced leadership and business coursework undertaken at Boston College.

Daan Cramer
Manager Operations & Maintenance

Daan Cramer started working for EWT in 2012 as a freelance expediter at a tower manufacturing plant. In 2013 he joined the operations department as Project Manager and at the end of 2017 he took the position of Manager Operations & Maintenance. As Manager Operations & Maintenance Daan is responsible for all installations, operations and service activities of EWT turbines around the world. Prior to joining EWT Daan traveled around the world, working for different motorsport teams for over 12 years.

Lisa Bryan
Commercial leader Operations & Maintenance

Lisa Bryan, joined EWT in 2018, responsible for developing the multi-brand O&M business, selling performance improvement packages on existing fleet and negotiating O&M contract extensions and renewals. Her career in renewables began in 2007 at NAREC (National Renewable Energy Centre) in the UK where she was a Business Development Manager responsible for wind turbine blade testing, marine device testing and selling engineering consultancy. In 2013, she joined Siemens. During her 4.5 years with Siemens she worked in the O&M/Service business unit, first as a Commercial Sales Manager for offshore wind projects and then, for 3.5 years, as a Technical Sales Manager in onshore wind, leading sales efforts for service and maintenance contracts for both new unit turbines and post warranty contract renewals.

Michiel Fornier
Manager Corporate Development & Company Secretary

Michiel Fornier is responsible for EWT’s corporate development activities, focusing on M&A, strategic partnerships, new business activities and public affairs and – relations. In addition Michiel is responsible for managing the company secretary function, acting as secretary to the Management Board and the Supervisory Board. Between 2013 and 2018 Michiel was EWT’s general counsel and held full responsibility for EWT’s legal and corporate affairs.

Michiel joined EWT in 2011 in the legal department. He started his career as an attorney in 2002 with a practice focusing on IP, corporate and commercial advice and – litigation and M&A. Michiel holds a master’s degree in Law from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
