HomeAs of June 24, the City of Woodstock officially became the first city in Pipestone County to own a municipal wind turbine.
The $1.8 million Woodstock Municipal Wind project utilizes a single 750 Kw, Emergya Wind Technology (EWT) direct drive, gearless turbine that will generate 2.1 million kilowatt hours per year, which is enough to supply 140 homes that use an average of 15,000 Kw of electricity per year.
